Yet again this year, dozens of professional and amateur artists took part in Barti Art! We were humbled and amazed by all the beautiful, quirky, intricate and humorous submissions that arrived in the days and weeks before the deadline last month.

All items were displayed for a week at Hwb in Narberth, Pembrokeshire over the Welsh half term holiday. The team at Hwb said lots of people came to see the work including the judges who spent time meticulously studying all the fine details.

We are very grateful to have welcomed print maker Tom Frost back as a judge again this year. Tom creates the most wonderful prints from his home not far from us in West Wales. He created the Barti label in his unique style, something we'll always appreciate and hold dear! You can check out Tom's work here.

Members of the Barti team also ranked their favourites and the combined scores gave way to the final results we can unveil today!

As every year, there are ten runners up, each wins a bottle of Barti Rum or Barti Cream if they prefer! In no particular order here they are.

And now for our top three!

In third place and winner of £50 plus a bottle of Barti Rum and Barti Cream is Nazaret Cabrera Fernández with her digital graphic of an octopus with a bottle of Barti beneath the Barti waves. The judges liked the use of simple on brand colours, and strong brand images used in an alternative way.

In second place, and winner of £200 and a bottle of Barti Rum and a bottle of Barti Cream is Gaby Shoenberger with her miniature paper theatre. The judges were enchanted by the detail in the little origami creation.

And finally first place! The winner of £500 and a bottle of Barti Rum and a bottle of Barti Cream is Lydia Silver. The judges liked the art deco inspiration and textures in this unusual yet striking graphic print.

Once again we thank everyone for taking part, a special shout out to those who wrote to us about what creating their art piece meant to them, we're so proud to have created this creative community and so pleased it is a source of fun for so many.

All  that's left now is to reveal how much money was raised from the art at the silent auction which took place throughout the week. We can confirm most items were sold. This year we have been raising money for Sea Trust, an environmental charity based on the Pembrokeshire coast. We shall be announcing the total raised very soon!
